Bringing the Yummy to Yoga!

Sjha’ra Taylor, a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, a qualified Tantric Heart Practitioner and Sivananda Yoga Teacher discovered the divine union between Chocolate and Yoga during her trip to Guatemala where she met ‘The Chocolate Shaman’, who showed her how to use cacao as a created facilitator. The medicinal properties in Cacao help open up the heart, taking the yoga practise to a whole new level. Chocolate Yoga, according to her, is the merging of two of your greatest pleasures, chocolate and yoga; a yummy fusion of Cacao Ceremony with Kundalini Yoga, to shift your yoga practice into a whole new dimension…It allows you to experience the medicinal properties of ceremonial grade cacao moving through your body in a specially designed kundalini yoga practice, involving Ceremony, Pranayama, Asanas, Dance, Relaxation, Chanting and Meditation. The first thing in a Chocolate Yoga class is a “Chocolate Ceremony”. During this blessing ceremony, gratitude is expressed to the Cacao Spirit (remember that the Mayans from Guatemala and

Mexico were deeply spiritual and honoured the spirit in all things), and the Cacao Spirit is called upon to bless all and the practice and then the Cacao is taken in a hot Chocolate form. This is followed by an exploration, via various forms, of how the cacao moves throughout the body.
